Actress Lara Dutta took a nostalgic trip down memory lane as she commemorated the 20th anniversary of her debut film, Andaaz. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Lara shared the film's posters, which also featured her co-stars Priyanka Chopra and Akshay Kumar. Expressing her gratitude, Lara thanked Akshay for his constant support and appreciated Priyanka, emphasizing that they will always have each other's backs.
Sharing the posters, Lara captioned the post, "And just like that... it's been 20 years!!! What an incredible, exhilarating journey!!! Always grateful! First of all, to the audience and fans! To Suneel Darshan for offering me my first film and being the wonderful, cultured, caring person he is. My dearest Raj ji for being the most patient teacher. My forever most handsome, most fun, always there for me, Akshay Kumar, for just being who he is!!!" She also addressed Priyanka Chopra, saying, "@priyankachopra, we'll always have each other's backs! Directed by Raj Kanwar and produced by Suneel Darshan, Andaaz (2003) is a romantic musical film that starred Akshay Kumar, Lara Dutta, and Priyanka Chopra. Although Priyanka's debut film was The Hero: Love Story of a Spy (2003), Andaaz marked her first lead role in a film.
After her debut, Lara Dutta worked in several films before taking a break from the industry. She made a remarkable comeback to the silver screen in 2021 with the Akshay Kumar-starrer Bell Bottom. The former Miss Universe also ventured into the world of web series, making her debut with Hundred in 2020. She later appeared in series like Hiccups and Hookups and Kaun Banegi Shikharwati.
Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra is currently featured in The Russo Brothers' Citadel. Her most recent film was James C Strouse's Love Again, in which she starred alongside Sam Heughan.
