'Jigra' Trailer: Witness Alia Bhatt's powerful quest to shield her brother Vedang Raina against all odds

Alia Bhatt starrer 'Jigra' has been making quite a noise since the day it was announced. Since the past few weeks, the anticipation for the film has been reaching new heights as the makers have been dropping new assets like fierce posters, teasers, and even heart-melting songs.

Now after all the wait, the trailer of the film is finally out and it promises everything from action-packed drama to emotional sibling bond and of course a power-packed performance from Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina.

The 3-minute trailer begins with Alia Bhatt's character Satya receiving a call that his brother Ankur has been sentenced to prison and will be located within three months. She then becomes the over-protective sister and starts training to plan a jailbreak and rescue her brother from the torturous environment within three months. The trailer is filled with emotional brother-sister moments that will surely make you feel for your siblings. At the same time, it introduces Alia Bhatt once again in her action avatar with the guns, jumps, and punches, giving her a totally fierce and never-seen-before avatar.

As soon as the trailer was dropped, fans couldn't contain their excitement and flooded the comments section with phrases like 'Alia Bhatt showing what versatility is', 'Alia and Vedang are such a cool combo', 'the films look so exciting, can't wait', 'Alia Bhatt can do anything' and more.

In a recent interview with Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt shared her experience of collaborating with Vedang. She also praised him as an actor and said that, 'he cries very prettily'', which is a great thing she has seen an actor do.

Jigra, directed by Vasan Bala, features a screenplay co-written by him and Debashish Irengbam. The film is presented by Viacom18 Studios, Dharma Productions, and Eternal Sunshine Productions. Produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Alia Bhatt, Shaheen Bhatt, and Somen Mishra, Jigra is set to hit theaters on October 11, 2024, coinciding with the Dussehra weekend.
