Jhanak: Lalon is proven innocent as Police inspector exposes Shubu's schemes

In tonight's episode of Jhanak, the drama unfolds with Anjana struggling to comprehend the unfolding events. The situation has taken a dramatic turn as the police have arrested Lalon on what was supposed to be his wedding day, leaving both Anjana and Bablu devastated over the cancellation of their daughter's marriage. Tanuja and Shubha criticise Lalon, accusing him of involvement in various criminal activities. However, Appu's parents refuse to believe these allegations, opting to stay at the police station to support him.

Jhanak, determined to clear Lalon's name, vows to prove his innocence within hours. She challenges Tanuja to a confrontation, promising to demonstrate that Lalon is not at fault. Appu, heartbroken over the disruption of her wedding, is advised to stay strong and seek justice for Lalon. Meanwhile, Lalon's neighbours begin protesting at the police station, voicing their support.

At the police station, Lalon is interrogated but consistently denies any wrongdoing, while outside, the protests continue. Jhanak, taking matters into her own hands, confronts the police and argues for Lalon's release. Lalon's mother reveals that his late father was a renowned lawyer who was betrayed by a close friend, leading to his downfall. Shubhu is taken aback by this revelation but chooses not to share this information.

Shubu decides to discuss the matter privately with the police but is stopped by Jhanak, who is suspicious of his intentions. Jhanak, along with other family members, enters the police station to seek justice for Lalon. She talks to the inspector, defending Lalon’s innocence and pleading for his release to save his marriage. Anuradha brings up her late husband’s esteemed reputation and asks if the inspector is familiar with him. The inspector confirms that he is. When Anuradha inquires how he knows her late husband, the inspector replies that while people may be forgotten, their actions and deeds endure.

In a shocking turn of events, the police officer plays a recorded call between Shubu and himself, revealing Shubu's scheming plan to deliberately ruin Appu and Lalon's marriage.
