Jhanak: Jhanak goes against traditional customs, stopping Appu's bidhai ceremony

Tonight's Jhanak episode begins with Dadi questioning whether Shubu indeed attempted to send Lalon to jail to sabotage Appu's marriage. Shubu vehemently denies it, but Anjana asserts that it is true, explaining that the commissioner intervened to save Appu's life. She confronts him, asking why he acted this way and implying that he doesn't see them as equals. She expresses frustration, saying they did nothing wrong by choosing Lalon for Appu, as they found a match that fits their status. She adds that they only stay in this big house because of their parents.

Aniruddha asks Shrishti not to take offence at his parents' remarks and advises her to be cautious, as she might face similar blame in the future. He mentions that Lalon forgave Shubu, which spared him from jail, and urges Shubu to change and become a better person. Bablu scolds Shubu for his actions.

Appu expresses her desire to leave to avoid any more trouble for Lalon. Lalon agrees, suggesting that if Appu consents, her mother will take them home. Appu is eager to leave for her in-laws, criticising Shubh and Tanuja for their behaviour. Tanuja retorts and Lal announces that they won't be attending the rituals. Bipasha comments on the necessity of Shubu's assistance, while Choton counters that everyone should be self-sufficient and not condone Shubu's wrongdoing. He praises the commissioner for remembering Lalon's father's favours and calls for preparation for Appu's departure. Appu agrees to leave and reflects on her new start while Anjana prepares for the rituals.

During the night, Anjana laments that she can't bear to see Appu leave and insists on departing after the rituals, expressing concern over the lack of blessings for Appu. Dadi blesses Appu, and Anuradha proposes a meal at a local school. Dadi assures Appu that she is welcome to visit anytime, but Appu questions whether it's because of Shubu's potential anger. 

Aniruddha and Choton plan to visit Appu with a surprise gift, and Appu requests that Jhanak also be present. Jhanak reassures Appu that she will visit, though Appu is sceptical. Jhanak invites Appu to Mumbai, but Aniruddha mocks her for having to stay with Aditya. Lalon expresses gratitude and agrees to invite Choton for the post-wedding meal. Anuradha supports this, and Jhanak inquires about Meenu's absence, with Bablu promising to contact her.

Dadi apologises to Lalon for her earlier disrespect, acknowledging his worth and expressing hope that he will prove himself to those who doubted him. Lalon insists that it is not his responsibility to convince others but to prove it to his wife. Appu, misunderstanding, laughs about the term "wife." Anjana acknowledges Appu's innocence and lack of understanding in certain situations. Anuradha pledges to ensure Appu's happiness, and Appu promises to visit her family, reassuring Bablu and expressing her intent to arrange marriages for Choton and Meenu. As the rice plate for the ritual is brought forward, Dadi asks Appu to recite a traditional vow, symbolising her repayment of all the debts to her parental home. However, before Appu can speak, Jhanak steps in, stopping her from saying it, leaving the family in shock.
