Taking to her Instagram, she penned a detailed post expressing her surprise and distress at her husband's unilateral divorce announcement made without her awareness or agreement. She wrote, "I was deeply shocked and saddened by the recent public announcement regarding our marriage, which was made without my knowledge or consent. After 18 years of shared history, I believe that such a significant matter should be handled with the grace, respect, and privacy that it deserves."

Aarti also shared that she tried reaching out to Jayam Ravi multiple times, hoping for a chance to have an open conversation about the situation. Unfortunately, Aarti expressed her disappointment as she never had the opportunity to engage in that crucial discussion with her husband.

For those unaware, on September 9, Jayam Ravi surprised everyone with a lengthy social media post, announcing his separation from Aarti after 15 years of marriage. Sharing on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Jayam Ravi stated, "After much thought and discussion, I have taken the difficult decision to proceed with the dissolution of my marriage with Aarti. This decision was not made out of haste and it stems from personal reasons that I believe are in the best interests of everyone involved."

Moreover, the Ponniyin Selvan actor described his choice as 'extremely painful', but after extensive discussions, the couple reached this significant decision. Although Jayam did not disclose the specific reason for the divorce, he emphasized that it was made solely with the well-being of all those connected to them in mind.
