Jayam Ravi has been making headlines since he ended his 15-year marriage and announced his divorce from his wife, Aarti Ravi. Initially, the actor stated that it was a carefully considered decision, but Aarti later revealed she was not informed beforehand. Subsequently, rumors about Jayam's alleged relationship with Kenishaa Francis emerged, potentially shedding light on the divorce. Recently, the actor addressed the situation, breaking his silence on the matter.
In a recent chat with DT Next, Jayam Ravi opened up about the constant attention on his personal life following his divorce from Aarti. The actor mentioned that despite facing attempts to tarnish his reputation with untrue stories, he remains unfazed by the scrutiny.
Jayam said, “When people try to bring down the image that I have earned over the years through hard work and choice of scripts, I can only manage to laugh. It’s not easy to malign my name. If you could think that the entire thing unfolded with the announcement episode, it did not.”
Delving deeper, the PS-I actor shared that he had dispatched a divorce notice via his lawyer to Aarti, a step acknowledged by her father. He refuted his ex-wife's assertion about the lack of prior discussion before the public announcement and highlighted the presence of both their parents during that time.
Jayam also tackled rumors about his absence from family occasions, such as his children's birthdays and anniversaries. He clarified that he indeed attended his elder son Aarav's birthday and mentioned that the child wishes for his parents to reconcile and stay together.
He shared, “Aarav's birthday was in June, and I was here in Chennai with him to celebrate. There are pictures from the birthday celebration as well. They say my car was seen in different cities on different dates. I have all rights to take my car wherever I want to. After all, I brought it with my hard-earned money. Also, I have had an open conversation about the issue with Aarav as Ayaan is too young to understand such things. Aarav obviously wants us to stick together.”
Wrapping up the interview, Jayam Ravi touched upon the recent speculation surrounding a supposed clandestine relationship with the Goan singer Kenishaa Francis. Although not explicitly naming anyone, the actor emphasized the inaccuracy of wrongly associating names with such matters.
Furthermore, Jayam disclosed that he recognizes Kenishaa as a psychologist with whom he partnered to establish a spiritual center. Jayam Ravi said, “Dragging names is not okay. I know the person because I wanted to open a spiritual center. The person whose name is doing the rounds on the internet is a trained psychologist who has gotten several people out of depression. This is not okay. I have certainly hit a roadblock in my life but not a dead end.”
Jayam Ravi also noted that despite the negative comments circulating online, he is prepared with concrete evidence to present in court. He expressed confidence that the falsehoods being spread about him would be rectified once the truth emerges, exonerating him from all allegations.
