'Jai Bhim' starring Suriya becomes the first Tamil film to get featured on Oscars' YouTube channel

South actor Suriya's most recent film 'Jai Bhim', in which he acted in and also produced was released on Amazon Prime Video in November 2021, receiving high praises from critics and viewers all over the globe 'Jai Bhim' went on to become the highest rated film ever on IMDB and is poised to dominate the National Awards as well as other prestigious awards for 2021. 

Meanwhile, the Academy Awards team has honored the film by posting a scene from it on the official Oscar YouTube channel.

The film is about a pregnant wife who seeks help from a certain advocate Chandru after her husband goes missing in Police custody.  The movie attracted many controversies as the movie portrays caste basis preference and treatment by the police.

The Oscar team has praised the film by posting in the description how Jai Bhim weaves in real case studies helmed by Activist-Lawyer Chandru, who brought justice to indigenous tribes in Tamilnadu through his relentless efforts. 

Writer-director TJ Gnanavel reveals how the story narrative was formed and executed.

Fans can't keep calm and have been sharing the same on social media. A Twitter user writes,

For the unversed, Suriya starrer Jai Bhim has also made an official entry to the Golden Globes 2022 as a nomination under the category of 'Best Non-English Language Film'. The movie has surpassed many records, with the IMDb rating of 9.6. 

Lijomol Jose plays the female lead with Manikandan, Rajisha Vijayan, Prakash Raj, Rao Ramesh and others in supporting roles.
