'Insaaf Ka Tarazu' writer Shabd Kumar dead
Mumbai, June 21 (IANS) Bollywood script writer Shabd Kumar, who wrote Raj Babbar's debut film 'Insaaf Ka Tarazu', died Saturday afternoon following a cardiac arrest, a family member said.

Mumbai, June 21 (IANS) Bollywood script writer Shabd Kumar, who wrote Raj Babbar's debut film 'Insaaf Ka Tarazu', died Saturday afternoon following a cardiac arrest, a family member said.
Kumar, 75, died at his Goregaon residence. A widower, he is survived by his son and daughter.
He edited the now-defunct Bollywood trade publication, Film Industry Journal, according to a family member.
'Insaaf Ka Tarazu', released in 1980, was directed by B.R. Chopra. It was Raj Babbar's debut film in which he played a rapist opposite Zeenat Aman and Padmini Kolhapure. The other actors were Simi Garewal, Deepak Parashar and Shreeram Lagoo.
Kumar also wrote the dialogues for 'Insaaf Ki Devi' in 1992, 'Ganga Tere Desh Mein' in 1988, 'Insaaf Ki Pukar' in 1987, 'Mera Saathi' in 1985 and 'Aaj Ki Awaz' in 1984.
