Imtiaz Ali showers Diljit Dosanjh with compliments after his electrifying Delhi concert

Imtiaz Ali praised Diljit Dosanjh after his 'rocking' Delhi concert on Day 2 of the Dil-Luminati tour, lauding his electrifying performances setting the stage ablaze.

October 28, Imtiaz Ali shared a fan post on Instagram displaying Diljit Dosanjh's recent Delhi concert performance. On his story, Diljit sang Amar Singh Chamkila's Pehle Lalkare. Diljit is seen donning a white attire with a black coat. He matched it with a white turban. Imtiaz tagged Diljit and wrote, "Rocking the country."

Diljit Dosanjh showcased his talent over two days in Delhi, specifically on October 26 and October 27. The venue for his concert was the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in the heart of the national capital. Diljit is scheduled to perform in Jaipur on November 3, followed by shows in Chandigarh, Guwahati, Pune, Indore, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Lucknow, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad.

Imtiaz Ali has been openly expressive about selecting Diljit Dosanjh for his directorial venture, Amar Singh Chamkila. During a previous conversation with Mid-Day, Imtiaz recounted an incident where he proposed the lead role to Diljit. The director disclosed that before agreeing to the biopic, Diljit shared details about his 2023 movie, Jodi.

As per Imtiaz, Diljit showed him parts of Jodi and requested his opinion on his suitability for the role in Amar Singh Chamkila. The movie, centered on the life of the late folk artist Amar Singh Chamkila, debuted on Netflix on April 12. Amar Singh Chamkila featured Parineeti Chopra as Diljit's on-screen second wife, Amarjot Kaur.
