Has Thalapathy Vijay charged Rs 220 crores for film with KVN Productions?

Thalapathy Vijay fans have high hopes from Thalapathy 69. It is reported that he will take a huge break from the movies to focus on his political career. This ‘last film’ before his sabbatical will be directed by H Vinoth. Bengaluru-based production house KVN Productions is bankrolling the movie. One of the producers of Leo is also on board for the same. As per a report in a Telugu movie portal, Thalapathy Vijay is being paid a staggering amount for the same. There was talk that he would do his last film with DVV Danayya, the maker of RRR. But he has signed a movie bankrolled by KVN Productions. The website said that Thalapathy Vijay wanted ‘big money’ before he quit films. He has reportedly demanded Rs 220 crores for the same. The fee charged by Thalapathy Vijay for his last few movies have made news. Dil Raju reportedly paid him Rs 120 crores for Varisu while he is take home a fee of Rs 175 crore for Greatest Of All Time. 

Film production house, The Route is also going to be a part of Thalapathy 69. H Vinoth said at an event that the upcoming movie is not going to a political thriller but a complete Thalapathy Vijay movie that will appeal to all age groups. The movie is supposed to release by second half of 2025. Once he finishes work on that movie, he will dive into his political career. The shoot should also start by end of 2024. As per rumours, Samantha Ruth Prabhu might be the leading lady in the movie. They are in talks with Mohanlal for a significant cameo as well. Anirudh Ravichander will be composing the music for the film. Sathyan Sooryan is the director of photography. 

Thalapathy Vijay’s last film was Leo, which was one of the biggest hits of 2023. Lokesh Kanagaraj made the film. It seems he was keen on Leo being a part of his LCU. However, everything is indecisive as Thalapathy Vijay is set to be a full-time politician. He wants to prepare for the Assembly Elections. Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam is the name of his political party.
