Welcome to the birthday celebrations of the amazing actress who has quite a few hits to her credit along with several special appearances. Who are we talking about? None other than the Dabangg girl, Sonakshi Sinha.

Born on 2nd June, 1987 to superstar Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha, Sonakshi is the youngest child with two older twin brothers, Luv and Kush Sinha. She attended Arya Vidya Mandir in Mumbai and then went on to complete Fashion Designing at Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women's University in Mumbai.

Sinha began her career as a costume designer for films. She also walked the Lakme Fashion Week ramp in 2008 and 2009. One day at a dancing event Salman Khan saw her and offered her the role of Rajjo for Dabangg (2010). From there, Sinha's career took off. Sinha was praised by critics and viewers for her role and was featured on the front cover of the December 2010 "Maxim" magazine. Sinha won several awards including the Zee Cine Award for Most Promising Debut (Female), the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut, and the IIFA Best Debut (Female).

Sinha had four releases in 2012, Rowdy RathoreJokerSon of Sardaar, and Dabangg 2, of which only Joker failed at the box office. Due to the success of her movies at the box office, Sinha was recognized by the ETC Business Awards as the Highest Grossing Actress of 2012. Sonakshi also appeared in the song "Go Go Govinda" from the movie OMG! Oh My God with Prabhudeva.

In 2013, Sinha had four releases again. They were Lootera, which was critically and commercially acclaimed, Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai Dobaara!, which did not do too well at the box office, Bullett Raja, which went by almost unnoticed, and R...Rajkumar, which did moderately well at the box office. Sonakshi also appeared in the songs "Thank God It's Friday" from Himmatwala, and "Party All Night" and "Har Kisi Ko" from Boss. Sinha was highly praised for all four roles, especially Lootera and Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai Dobaara!.

Sonakshi has several movies in her kitty for 2014, including Holiday - A Soldier Is Never Off Duty opposite Akshay Kumar, Action Jackson opposite Ajay Devgn, and Tevar opposite Arjun Kapoor.
