After Dev D director Anurag Kashyap is all set for his next venture 'Gulaal'. It is a project very close to Anurag's heart, stars Kay Kay Menon, Deepak Dobriyal, Aditya Shrivastav and Seema Rehmani, besides newcomers like Raja Chaudhury, Ayesha Mohan and Abhimanyu Singh. It also announces Jesse Randhawa's foray into Bollywood and will hit the screens on 13th March, 2009.
The storyline is similar to a Shakespearean fable of desire, lost identities, love, greed, violence, murder, deceit, power and innocence; the forgotten male, macho world of power, corruption and greed, where women are just means to an end while nobody can be trusted. It is a film that brings back poetry to cinema, songs that inspire us, shake us; sometimes a thriller, a drama, but always poignant, shocking and provocative.
The movie is produced by Zee Limelight, from Zee Motion Pictures.
