(Note: For once lets just not draw any similarities or points of comparison with the Ittefaq 1969 film. Lets take it as a fresh film altogether.)

When we talk about thrillers, the first thing that comes to our minds is the suspense quotient and the mystery! And yes, Ittefaq does live up to all your expectations.

As witnessed in the trailer, the film revolves around two high profile murders, with two suspects who have two different versions! However, as always there is just one truth.

Without leaking the story, lets just talk about the important points of the film.

Characters and their Performance: Every actor taken on board has done justice to their characters except for Sonakshi Sinha who plays Maya. There have been few scenes where she fails to execute her emotions!

Akshaye Khanna: Is the USP of the film. When we talk about the recall value of the film, it's the dialogues and songs that first comes to our minds. However, since this is a "No Song" film, the complete focus shifts to the dialogues. And, the only dialogues that you will be recalling after leaving the theater is of Akshaye!

The sheer brilliance that he has executed throughout the film is incomparable. His fine acting is instantly going to make a space in your hearts. Undoubtedly, he has been one of the best casting in the film.

Sidharth Malhotra: After his debut film "Student of the Year", it's "Ittefaq" that has given Sid a classic entry! With time, he is just getting better and better with his performances.

Sonakshi Sinha: As mentioned above, has failed at certain points to live up to her character.

Overall: The film is an interesting tale of Mystery, with a pinch of romance, gripping story, unending twists and turns that finally give you a smashing climax!

Director Abhay Chopra has very beautifully crafted the complete plot of the film.

The festive season is just about to end and what can be better than "Ittefaq" to give it a classy end before you submerge yourself in work.

So this weekend, grab hold of your Sherlock Holmes' friends and family members and head straight to the cinemas near you. And don't forget to take your popcorn and samosas as the film won't let you leave your seats!
