Golmaal Again becomes the first film to cross 200 crore club in 2017.

The multi-starer film struggled in the mid-way but, soon took a high within few weeks of its release.

The multi-starer film starring Ajay Devgn, Parineeti Chopra, Tabu, Arshad Warsi, Kunal Khemu, Shreyas Talpade and Tusshar Kapoor in the main leads was helmed by Rohit Shetty. It was the fourth instalment of the Golmaal franchise that also starred stars like Johnny Lever and Sanjay Mishra with more defining performance than the leads.

However just a day before yesterday the film had earned 199.74 crores and was expected to touch the 200 crore club and it happened by the end of the day.

The film struggled in the mid-way but, soon started to lead in coming weeks. The film had a clash with Aamir Khan's "Secret Superstar" in October. Going strong by entertaining the audiences "Golmaal Again" is the first film to cross the 200 crore club in 2017. Despite having high budget films like "Raees" and "Tubelight" which had the kings of the box-office - Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan... they couldn't reach the 200 crore club. While some Bollywood movies not even managed to cross 100 and 150 crores too.

There were also many expectations from "Judwaa 2" starring Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu in the main leads to reach the 200 crore club. However, it collected around 137 crores by October 23 and was stated as second highest film after Baahubali. However, "Bahubali: The Conclusion's" Hindi dubbed version had grossed more than Rs 500 crore at the domestic box office and still remains to be the highest grossing film of the year and all time in India.

The only films that are expected to cross the 200 crore club are Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Padmavati" starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor and Salman Khan's "Tiger Zinda Hai" starring him with Katrina Kaif that is also the sequel of "Ek Tha Tiger" in 2012.

Seems like a tough one between "Padmavati" and "Tiger Zinda Hai" too...
