Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan's wife, the talented interior designer Gauri Khan, reportedly responded to a social media post critiquing actress Triptii Dimri's recent song "Mere Mehboob" from the movie "Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video." While the track has been creating a buzz on social platforms, it has sparked controversy, especially regarding one of Triptii's dance moves in the song. This incident has shifted the focus from what could have been another achievement for Triptii to becoming a hot topic of debate among fans and critics alike.

In the dance move, Triptii is seen lying on the floor and executing pelvic movements. Although the song's vocals and music have garnered praise from online users, a segment of social media enthusiasts has condemned choreographer Ganesh Acharya for incorporating what they perceive as a 'vulgar' and 'indecent' step into the routine.

Tea Music Daily, an Instagram account, posted a video showcasing the controversial dance step and proceeded to critique the actress. The page further lambasted the Bollywood industry for allegedly diminishing a skilled actress by involving her in what they described as 'distasteful' songs and attire.

The caption of the post read, "I am a big fan of her and I understand capitalising on opportunities is important but this is downright disrespectful in the way they are treating her in recent films, why is she agreeing to all of this? Have you heard this song of Tripti Dimri?"

They also wrote, "Bollywood has reduced her to such disgusting dance steps, outfits and songs. I don't know why she agrees to do this with no self respect."

A Reddit post surfaced detailing Gauri's response to the poll within the post that scrutinized Triptii. A screenshot circulating on the platform displays Gauri's official Instagram handle participating in the poll. The intention behind Gauri's vote remains uncertain, leaving ambiguity as to whether it was deliberate or accidental.

Reacting to the post, a user commented,"This is so disrespectful for an actress, Bollywood really needs to up their standard from vulgarity." Another commented, "She looks so uncomfortable."

Triptii has been lauded for her exceptional portrayals in movies such as Qala and Bulbbul. Following the release of the song, she faced backlash for what some perceive as a departure from her impactful roles to engaging in more mainstream dance sequences.

Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video is based in the '90s and narrates the tale of a newlywed couple whose lives take a turn for the worse when their intimate video is stolen. The movie features Rajkummar Rao, Mallika Sherawat, Vijay Raaz, Archana Puran Singh, Tiku Talsania, and other talented actors. Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, the film is set to premiere in cinemas on October 11, coinciding with the release of Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina's Jigra.
