This year, the 17th International Indian Film Academy Awards, popularly known as IIFA, took Bollywood to the core of all the filigree and fancy of the glamor world. Held in Madrid, Spain, IIFA presented an opportunity to our Bollywood dudes and beauts to flaunt their dernier cri. Of course, the Fashion Police has garnered for you the glitterati of who attended the event in their sophisticated best.
Flaunting the essence of Spanish culture in some towering length is the vivacious Deepika Padukone who graced the green carpet in an ivory Sabyasachi creation. The ensemble consisted of a godet skirt paired with a low cut crop top and net cape, all complete with flamboyant embroidery. With that dramatic emerald jewelry from Tanishq and smokey eyes, she sure makes for one hot lady.Wearing a teased ponytail, Queen DP totally struck the right fashion notes with this one.

Sonaskshi Sinha
Playing it safe, Ms. Sinha opted for a Jani Khosla dress with zari and mirror work on the body; it has an ethnic yet haute couture vibe to it. The sleek side parted hair, deep mauve lips and tantalizing burgundy heels added allure to her look. She was smart to have skipped any statement jewelry and finished the look with glowy, sun-kissed skin and an enchanting smile.

Shilpa Shetty Kundra
Shilpa is a sophisticated brazen and she puts that all in her looks. Shilpa strutted the green carpet in a custom Shantanu and Nikhil gown. With that svelte figure, why scorn our eyes with this awful choice, Mrs. Kundra? The excess bundling of fabric in the front, the slinky fit at the derriere, boring makeup and sleek tresses were all off putting to say the least. While the cutout gown had great potential, the overall look failed to dial up to the glamour quotient of the event.

Bipasha Basu & Karan Singh Grover
Flaunting oodles of colletage in this daring Jani Khosla gown, Mrs. Grover looked everything but a blushing bride next to her dapper husband. The deep blue raffle gown isn't our favorite of what we've lately seen from Ms. Grover, but the actress made it work for herself through a smart choice of accessories, updo and clean dewy makeup. It is gowns like these that make us question the canonical of fashion houses. The poor neckline, bad setting of the raffles and the tapering flow of the gown make for a horrifying moment. With her husband by her side, in an all black tux, the Jism actress, despite the horrendous gown, managed to maintain her seductive avatar.

Priyanka Chopra
The 'Woman of the Year', Priyanka Chopra attended the IIFA draped in a net...chiffon? An Elsa Schiaparelli gown, looking a cross between a bridesmaid and runway model, the actress wowed one and all in this flared outfit and Cartier jewels. Edgy yet feminine, the Quantico star opted for a deep vampy lip color to balance the greyish-purple hues of the dress. Chopra proved once again she is too cool for school with a side parted bun to perfect this stunning appearance. Though what truly elevated the outfit was the oozing poise with which she carried the outfit. More power to you, girl!

Ranveer Singh
The man of the hour arrived in a marble print blue blazer paired with a bow tie and white shirt by Tom Ford. Known for his quirky style, Singh has never shied away from experimenting with his looks. And we love him for that. Here too, Singh managed to give his contemporaries a run for their money with this unconventional fashion choice. Paired with a charming personality and unbeatable energy, this was a winning appearance at the green carpet.

Fawad Afzal Khan
The Pakistani heartthrob, who won laurels with his powerful performances and pulchritude, walked the green carpet in an Omar Farooq suit. Pairing the suit with a dotted tie and brushed back hair, Khan made an impressive arrival at the award show.
BollyCurry Rating: 3.5/5
Hrithik Roshan
Hrithik Roshan was at his dapper best in this customized Troy Costa suit. The glossy greyish blue suit complemented his Greek God looks, making us drool at his pretty face. Don't miss the white bow tie. We're totally digging it!

Salman Khan
Salman Khan is undeniably the king of the box office, but Khan proves time and again his larger than life personality is enough to grab eye balls. Khan kept it simple with a classic Ashley Rebello suit. The fuss free look shifted the focus on his new hairstyle and we couldn't keep our eyes off him.

Am the only one that loves Deepika's dress, but hates her make-up? And I personally love Shilpa Shetty's look, but that pic is horrible. While I'm at it, PC's dress is a no, just no!

Ranveer and Priyanka's outfits do not deserve the rating you gave... they look cheap / thrifty. Fawad deserves a higher rating for looking so classy.
