Ekta Kapoor has joined forces with Rahi Anil Barve, the director of the critically acclaimed film Tumbbad, for an exciting new project. The film, which will be produced by Balaji, is currently in the script development stage, with production set to begin next year. Ekta, a huge admirer of Barve's work, is particularly eager to bring his unique vision to the big screen. The film is expected to be a high-concept feature, and Ekta plans to cast a leading actor from the younger generation in a key role.
In addition to this, Ekta is already working on multiple projects. She is preparing for the release of The Sabarmati Report on November 15, which stars Vikrant Massey and is set against the backdrop of the 2002 Godhra train burning incident. Along with this, she has other exciting films in the pipeline, including Bhooth Bangla, a horror-comedy directed by Priyadarshan and starring Akshay Kumar. This film is slated for release in 2025. Another project, Vann, directed by Deepak Mishra and starring Siddharth Malhotra, is also in pre-production.
Another highly anticipated project Ekta is working on is Ragini MMS 3, which is expected to go on floors in 2025. The script for this film is being developed by Rajat Arora, and it promises to be an exciting addition to the popular Ragini MMS franchise. As the title suggests, Ragini MMS 3 will feature three female leads, who will be seen in stunning new avatars. The project is still in its early stages, and production is likely to begin next year once the screenplay is finalized.
While these projects are underway, Ekta remains committed to expanding her production slate with unique and diverse films. Her collaboration with Rahi Anil Barve marks an exciting chapter, as both creators aim to bring fresh, high-quality stories to the Indian film industry.
