Double dose of Mouni Roy in Naagin 2!

As you guys must have guessed from the headline, Colors' most awaited next Naagin 2 will see its lead actress Mouni Roy in a double role.

Mouni played the icchadari naagin Shivanya in the show's first season. The first season ended on a happy note with Shivanya getting pregnant with her love Rithik's (Arjun Bijlani) child.

Speculation was rife that Mouni will return in the show's second season and a new face would be roped in to play Shivanya and Rithik's daughter Shivangi. But that role too, seems to have landed in Mouni's lap, according to reports in a leading daily.

With this, Mouni too joins the long list of actresses, who played their own daughters in their shows, post leap. 

Arjun Bijlani, who will not be apart of Naagin 2, had played both father and son's role in the season 1 of the show.

Recurring cast members from season 1 will be Adaa Khan, Sudha Chandran and Aashka Goradia. While Mouni, Adaa and Sudha have been a part of the Naagin franchise since its inception, Aashka joined the show towards the end of first season and will continue her role of Avantika, the queen Bee.

Naagin Season 2 is scheduled to go on the floors from the month of September, one whole month prior to its initial date of October.
