Did Anupamaa Stars Leave the Show Due to Issues with Lead Actress Rupali Ganguly?

In a recent chat with media platform, former Anupamaa stars Nidhi Shah, Paras Kalnawat, and Sudhanshu Pandey opened up about their exit from the popular show. Rumors have been buzzing that lead actress Rupali Ganguly might be one reason behind co-actors leaving the show. In their conversation, they hinted that working with her was not easy, adding fuel to the speculations.

Sudhanshu Pandey, who portrayed Vanraj, shared his experience, saying, "Anupamaa was my first daily soap. When COVID hit, the show began and became a sensation. It made history, but every good thing eventually fades, and I found it challenging to keep it natural. I worried that my character might become repetitive and boring for viewers."

Nidhi Shah, known for played as Kinjal, shared that Sudhanshu faced immense challenges. She recalled, “He performed with such intensity that it impacted his health. There were times when he was so unwell he couldn’t even stand properly. He had to rest, and we all waited for him. He was on 5-6 painkillers daily,” she added.

Paras Kalnawat, who played Samar, addressed his sudden departure, saying, “I was the first to leave. I didn’t know if it was my choice or if I was pushed out. There’s no exit clause; if you want to go, you leave on bad terms.” He expressed disappointment over his track ending abruptly, adding, “Kisne karwaya tha, wo sab toh batein alag hain. If someone says, ‘I don’t want to work with this person,’ nobody questions her. I don’t want to name anyone, but everyone knows who that is.”

Nidhi added, “It had become a trigger point. Every day, we got scenes that had us arguing. We were tired of fighting. It felt like we didn’t want to argue anymore or even work together.” Her scenes were reportedly cut down, and she faced challenges with her makeup and wardrobe.

When asked if Rupali is challenging to work with, Nidhi responded, acknowledging Rupali’s acting skills, which made Sudhanshu laugh. Both Sudhanshu and Paras joked, “Kaun bol raha hain ye?”

Following a leap, Anupamaa now stars Rupali Ganguly alongside new actors, with many former stars moving on from the show.
