Actor Akshay Khanna will play an antagonist in his upcoming film 'Dishoom'. He has been earlier appreciated for playing the negative role in 'Race'. Now, the actor is here again in a negative role.
John Abraham and Varun Dhawan will be seen playing the protagonists in the film. Recently during the promotions of the film, Varun and John had said that Akshay is the USP of the film, thus giving him high credit for the film. The actors had appreciated Akshay's character in the film and stated it to be an important one.
But, when we asked Akshay for his reaction to Varun and John's 'USP' comment, he said, "No that's sweet of them to say that but I don't know how much they mean it. It is not me but the character which is very interesting. Every actor has it's own USP".
"I've played negative roles before also, but when I play in a negative role, I never want the audience to hate that character. I want them to enjoy the character, he may be a bad guy and doing horrible things, but you still enjoy watching it and that is the character. I don't know what John and Varun meant when they say that but definitely, it's the audience who should say that." He added.
The actor frankly went ahead to say that it's the audience that matters and they should feel his work and importance in the film. Though he stated Varun and John's comment as a good gesture from them, he hinted that he doesn't know if they really meant what they said.
'Dishoom' also stars Jacqueline Fernandes and will hit the theaters on 29th July, 2016.
