The second song from Koratala Siva’s highly anticipated film Devara: Part 1 was released on Monday, featuring Jr. NTR and Janhvi Kapoor. Composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the song is titled "Chuttamalle" in Telugu and has versions in multiple languages: "Dheere Dheere" in Hindi, "Paththavaikkum" in Tamil, "Swaathimutthe Sikkangaithe" in Kannada, and "Kanninathan Kamanottam" in Malayalam.
Ahead of the song's release, the official X account of Devara teased fans with a message: “We are already in its trance….Bloody sure you too will join us in this ride.” The song, with lyrics penned by Ramajogayya Sastry, is a romantic melody choreographed by Bosco Martis and sung by Shilpa Rao.
The 3-minute-44-second video showcases Janhvi Kapoor in traditional attire, while Jr. NTR is dressed in contemporary clothing. The romantic sequence is set on a beach, where Janhvi’s character, Thangam, sings about her deep affection for Jr. NTR’s character.

The song has struck a chord with listeners, resonating with its nostalgic vibe and soulful melody.
Devara: Part 1 marks the southern film debut for both Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. Janhvi expressed her excitement about working in Telugu cinema, saying it brings her closer to her late mother, Sridevi. She shared, “Somehow it makes me feel closer to my mom, to be in that environment, as well as to hear and speak in that language. It just felt like it was the right time. Mom has such a history with the families of NTR sir and Ram Charan sir, it's my honour that I'm able to work with both these extremely talented actors.”
With Devara: Part 1 being Jr. NTR's first film after the blockbuster RRR, expectations are high. The promotional material suggests he plays a gangster, and the film will be released in two parts, with the first part hitting theaters in September this year.
As anticipation builds for the release of Devara: Part 1, "Chuttamalle" has set the perfect tone, promising an engaging and melodious journey ahead for fans and audiences alike.
