Zee TV's Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani will soon be undergoing lot many changes. Post the exit news of Surekha Sikhri, Chetan Hansraj and Zaan Khan created a buzz in the media, Iqbal Khan's entry was announced.

Iqbal will be seen playing the anti-hero and an avid Muslim. He will be extremely respectful towards women, but his shades won't be the conventional ones.

A new family will be introduced on the show soon, and Iqbal will be a part of it. Now, accompanying Iqbal to the show is actress Deepshikha Nagpal. Deepshikha has been roped in by the makers to play Iqbal's mother Abida Begum.

Abida Begum is Iqbal's character's stepmother. She is the same age as her step son and is a conniving and authoritative woman. Deepshikha will be playing a negative role in this show as well.

When we contacted Deepshikha, she confirmed the development with us and added, "The whole team is very welcoming and I am having a great time shooting with the cast and crew."

What changes will the new family's entry bring forth in the lives of Raja (Sartaj Gill) and Rani (Eisha Singh)? Only time will tell.
Stay tuned for further updates!

It is getting more interesting by each passing day. I just hope writers don't show muslims in a bad light. Eisha Singh, Sartaj Gill and Iqbal Khan are my favorite actors in Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani.
Why did you tag Jamai Raja instead of Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani in this post? plz correct.
