Deepika Padukone finally reveals Baby Plans with hubby Ranveer Singh

After dating for six years, love birds Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh tied the knot on 14 December 2018 in a traditional Konkani-style wedding, followed by Sindhi rituals at Lake Como in Italy. The adorable couple shares alluring chemistry on screen and an even enchanting camaraderie in real life. Right from sharing the most loved up pictures to posting goofy comments on each other’s posts, the duo’s romance has swept fans off their feet.

Deepika had made a mischievous “Hi Daddie” comment along with a baby emoji on hubby Ranveer’s live chat, which had left fans wondering if the couple is soon to become happy parents. And, to add on to the speculations, Arjun Kapoor had a quirky remark and said, "Baba, Bhabhi is gonna give u one.” Well, this banter was enough to raise questions about the couple’s pregnancy.

In a recent interaction with Hindustan Times, Deepika reveals she is aware of the pregnancy rumours making rounds on the Internet. The actress further went on to rubbish such reports and stated that the couple definitely wants kids, but not right now as the actors are solely focused on their respective careers currently. 

“It’s sad that society puts people in this rut that if you’re dating for so long toh shaadi kab hogi and then bacche. We’re not surprised by the rumours. Of course we want children, we both love kids. But we’re too selfishly focused on our careers at this point. It wouldn’t be fair to have kids at this point. We’re not even thinking about kids," she told the daily.

Talking of their work front, the two actors are mired in projects and have their calendars full of exciting films ahead of them. Deepika will be next seen in Meghna Gulzar's 'Chhapaak', a film based on an acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. The film will release in January 2020. She will also star alongside Ranveer in Kabir Khan's sports drama '83'. In the film, Ranveer will be seen as Kapil Dev while Deepika will play the role of Kapil's wife Romi Dev. The film has been slated to release on April 2020.

Besides, Ranveer will be seen in a cameo in Sooryavanshi, alongside Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar. He also has Karan Johar’s action-drama, Takht, slated for a 2020 release.

So, the baby plans can wait for the lovely couple, as they want to focus on their work front as of now.
