2009 is finally here and so are the much awaited releases. Generally, 2008 was a great year for Bollywood. We got to see movies like Jodha Akbar, Race, Singh is King, Fashion, Dostana, Ghajini etc but what exactly should we, the audience expect from Bollywood this year?
Well let us enter the Bollywood world and see what we can expect in this coming year.
Horn Ok Pleassss
This venture has a big starcast but its lead star cast includes Nana Pategar, Muzammil Ibrahim and Rimi Sen. Horn Ok Pleassss is directed by Rakesh Sarang and produced by Adbol Samee Siddiqui Horn Ok Pleasss is releasing in a week, January 9th, 2009.
Paathshala
Paathshala stars Shahid Kapoor, Ayesha Takia, Swini Khara, Dwij Yadav, Nana Patekar, Suniel Shetty and Ali Haji. The movie is directed by Milind Ukey and produced by Shaira Khan. Its set to release on January 9th.
Chandni Chowk to
This much awaited venture stars Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Mithun Chakraborty and Gordon Liu. Chandni Chowk to is produced by Rohan Sippy and Mukesh Talreja and directed by Nikhil Advani. This film is set to release on January 16th
Raaz – The Mystery Continues
Raaz was released in 2002 and now the sequel is set to release on January 23rd, 2009. Raaz – The Mystery Continues stars Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut and Adhyayan Suman. The film is directed by Mohit Suri and produced by the one and only Mahesh Bhatt.

Kajraare is Himesh Reshammiya’s third release in Bollywood. This movie stars Himesh himself along with Divya Khosla. It’s directed by Pooja Bhatt and produced by Krishan and Bhushan Kumar. Kajraare is going hit the silver screen on February 6th, 2009.
Billo Barber
Billo Barber stars Irrfan Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Lara Dutta. The movie is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment (SRK) and directed by Priyadarshan. This venture is set to release on February 13th, 2009.
This venture stars Salman Khan, Govinda, Kareena Kapoor and Sohail Khan. Main aur Mrs. Khanna is directed by Prem Soni and produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Sohail Khan. The movie is set to hit the big screen on February 13th
Dilli 6 is Sonam Kapoor’s second venture in Bollywood. Along with Sonam, this movie stars Abhishek Bachchan, Om Puri, Atul Kulkarni and Divya Dutta. It’s directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. Dilli 6 is expected to hit theatres on February 20th
Kambakkht Ishq
This romantic comedy stars Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor in the lead along with many supporting actors/actresses. Kambakkht Ishq is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Sabir Khan. Kambhakkt Ishq’s release date has been announced for May 29th
3 Idiots
3 Idiots stars Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Sharman Joshi and Boman Irani. It’s produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and directed by Rajkumar Hirani. The release date for this venture has been announced yet.
The talented little boy Darsheel from Taare Zameen Par comes back with another film and this time the title may just remind you of the famous song from his debut. All eyes are on this film slated to release in May/June of 2009 to see whether the boy wonder can continue to impress critics and fans alike. Well folks it looks like Bollywood has a great year ahead of it as these are just some of movies planned to be released in 2009.
