Citadel: Honey Bunny actress Samantha reveals that Varun Dhawan can't keep secrets private

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is appreciated by her fans for her straightforward nature. In an interview, she shared that her co-star Varun Dhawan quickly familiarized himself with the show Citadel: Honey Bunny before filming started. Samantha expressed her astonishment that the directors entrusted Varun with significant details, aware that he might not keep it confidential.

Samantha, who has enjoyed a successful career in the South Indian film industry, recently chatted with News18 Showsha. The actress, set to appear in Citadel: Honey Bunny, had previously collaborated with the director duo on the web series The Family Man 2. At that time, they had begun planning an Indian version of Citadel, but Samantha was unaware of it. In contrast, Varun Dhawan was well-acquainted with the important details of their upcoming show.

Samantha, saying, "They had put up a picture with the Russo Brothers, and I knew they were collaborating. But that's all I knew. I didn't know anything about the series or its world."

Varun, recognized for his candid nature, reached out to Raj and DK, sharing his interest in working together. As they were developing the show, he joined the project before the actress did.

When the actress joined the project, she was taken aback to discover how the actor managed to get insider information despite his tendency to share. She remarked, "We, regular folks, had to wait for years to be included!"

Additionally, the Shaakuntalam actress playfully poked fun at the director duo, who divulged information to Dhawan knowing it wouldn't remain confidential. Samantha expressed, "They are aware that there's no chance of keeping secrets with Varun, yet they choose to share everything with him. I just can’t wrap my head around that!"

Citadel: Honey Bunny is the Indian installment of the Citadel series featuring Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Varun Dhawan, Kay Kay Menon, Simran, Saqib Saleem, and others. The trailer has been released, and the series is set to debut on Prime Video on November 7.
