The Zee Cine Awards 2017 took place on the 12th of March in Mumbai and the Fashion Police had one heck of a time patrolling the red carpet. With their style game on point, our Tinsel Town dwellers arrived at the event in all their splendour: bedecked and bedazzled, leaving us spellbound with every stunning appearance. BollyCurry brings to you a roundup of some of the notable appearances from the night.

The newest mommy on the block walked the red carpet in a heavily sequinned, dark blue Falguni and Shane Peacock ball gown featuring a plunging neckline. Styled by Tanya Ghavri, Bebo oozed charm and confidence. Sticking to her usual minimalistic makeup, she looked absolutely radiant with loosely curled hair framing her face. The sparkling diamond rings from Jet Gems perfected her look. Simple, yet chic, we totally love this look.

Ditching the gowns in favour of a one shouldered, metallic short dress, Disha Pathani looked vivacious in this Monisha Jaising creation. Styled by the celebrity stylist Leepakshi Ellwadi, who opted to keep her hair open in straight locks was a good move in our opinion owing to the cut of the dress. The burnt gold colour, sultry smoky eyes and those teetering heels worked perfectly to create a great marriage of looks.

Designed by Gauri and Nainika, the Phillauri actress wore a black jumpsuit with off-shoulder sleeves. Sharma chose to keep her hair tied up neatly in a ponytail, finishing her look with the spiked earrings. While the jumpsuit looks great, we aren't completely convinced with those sleeves, which were off putting to say the least. Maybe doing away with the sleeves altogether would have been a better idea. Alas, even the pale pink lips failed to dial up the glamour quotient of what could have been a stunning appearance. Shame.

Not only is she a superb actress, Alia Bhatt is also a stunning dresser who effortlessly blends comfort with style. Bhatt was one of the very few contemporary actresses who dared to take the rare ethnic route and the results worked in her favour, she looking stunning in the traditional pink saree by Madhurya Creations.  With her hair up in a bun, a nice pair of jhumkas and flawless makeup, a radiant smile perfectly rounded up her look. Styled by Ami Patel, the Udta Punjab actress made for a cute appearance.

The Happy Bhaag Jayegi actress chose a white Gaurav Gupta gown and looked the perfect personification of a graceful swan. Styled by Nidhi Jacob, the simple gown accentuated her towering length leaving Penty looking beautiful and breath-taking. Her matching earrings and the Christian Louboutin clutch tied in well to give us an appearance that pleasantly stood out from others. In short, we love it!

Seems like this Bollywood hunk forgot the norms of dressing for an awards show and walked straight from a shoot. Hrithik Roshan, who made a fleeting appearance in a black shirt, denim jeans and a beanie, was a major disappointment. We wonder what made the actor choose such a drab look for the event. Even his beautiful eyes were covered in unnecessary shades.

Varun Dhawan stepped out in a black slit-necked shirt teamed with a black blazer and trousers. The light embroidery work on the shirt was unusual yet appealing, adding an edgy twist to an otherwise plain ol look. The young hunk looked easy, charming and pretty drool-worthy. We're also totally digging his new 'Badri' hair-style.

Yet another disappointment of the evening was Govinda. He may have been applauded for his acting and dancing skills but he really needs to work on his fashion sense. Govinda attended the show wearing a pair of grey slim fit jeans coupled with a dark salmon shirt and a coat. Experimentation is good, but this one though turned out to be a disaster. Going the conventional route of  wearing something formal would have worked better.

Also in attendance were Salman Khan, Urvashi Rautela, Sophie Choudry, Sunny Leone along with husband Daniel Weber, Sridevi, Bobby Deol, among many others.  Decked up in silks and satins, the stars lauded the glitz and glamour associated with the film fraternity. So which of these stars tugged your heartstrings with their look? Let us know in the comments below!
