BTS Suga's drunk driving case referred to prosecution

BTS member Suga is facing legal action after being involved in a drunk driving incident earlier this month. The case has now been forwarded to the Seoul Western District Prosecutors Office, following an investigation by the Yongsan Police Station. The decision to refer Suga's case was made without physical detention, as he was charged with violating the Road Traffic Act.

The incident occurred on August 6 when Suga was caught driving an electric scooter while under the influence of alcohol. According to reports, Suga was found by Seoul Police trying to stand up after falling off his scooter near his residence in the Hannam neighborhood of Yongsan district. Following the incident, Suga was questioned by the police and admitted to the charges against him.

In a statement to the media, Suga expressed deep regret and took full responsibility for his actions. "Firstly, I am very sorry. I am truly reflecting on having hugely disappointed many fans and many people. I will diligently undergo the investigations. Once again, I am sorry," Suga said, bowing his head in apology.

Since the incident, Suga has issued two public apologies through the BTS fan community platform, Weverse. In his latest letter, Suga conveyed his deep remorse and acknowledged the gravity of his mistake. "It is with feelings of shame that I apologize once again to you all. I apologize very deeply for having disappointed and hurt my fans and everyone who loves me through my wrongdoings. I forgot my responsibility to repay the love I’ve received up until now by behaving in a manner fitting of that love, and I made a grave mistake," Suga wrote.

He also expressed his regret for tarnishing the name of BTS and causing distress to those who care about him. "Due to my carelessness, everyone who cares about me is going through a difficult time. I will live my life reflecting and making efforts not to commit such wrongdoings again," he added.

As Suga continues to cooperate with the ongoing investigation, his fans and the public are left waiting for further developments in the case. The incident has certainly left a mark on the beloved BTS member, who has vowed to learn from his mistake and work towards earning back the trust of his fans and colleagues.
