Babil Khan reflects on his father Irrfan Khan's absence: I wish he could see me now

Bollywood has witnessed the rise of many remarkable actors, and among them, Irrfan Khan stood as one of the greatest and most influential. However, in 2020 Irrfan Khan succumbed to cancer, leaving behind a void that could never truly be filled. Yet, the legacy he left behind continues to thrive through his son, Babil Khan.

In 2022, Babil Khan marked his own entry into the film industry with his debut movie "Qala," which premiered on OTT platforms. The film, directed by Anvita Dutt, starred talented actors Tripti Dimri and Swastika Mukherjee in leading roles. "Qala" received resounding critical acclaim.

Well towards the road to success, Babil misses his father as he wanted him alongside his journey.

Recently, in a conversation with Pinkvilla, Babil Khan shed light on a poignant remark he made earlier regarding his inability to discuss his work with his father. He explained, "He left before he could see me grow. He left before I could make him proud, you know. I wish he was there to witness my personal growth, not just my professional journey, but as a human being."

As the journey of Babil Khan unfolds, he is set to grace our screens once again in the upcoming coming-of-age comedy-drama "Friday Night Plan." The film, which is slated to premiere on Netflix on September 1, features a stellar cast including Medha Rana and the ever-charming Juhi Chawla.
