Baba Siddique Last Rites: Zeeshan Siddiqui looks distraught as rain pours down at burial amidst state honours

The shocking murder of Baba Siddiqui has horrified the whole of Mumbai. Known as one of India’s safest cities, the financial capital was aghast knowing that the MLA was shot dead by three assailants in Bandra. The shooting happened near the office of his son Zeeshan Siddiqui. He was rushed to the Lilavati Hospital where they declared him dead. The burial has happened in Bada Qabrastan in Marine Lines. Son Zeeshan Siddiqui and daughter Arshia Siddiqui could not control themselves as they were about to bury him. 

Baba Siddiqui got full state honours from the Maharashtra Police. He was a known humanitarian funding many charity projects in and around Mumbai.

Zeeshan Siddiqui looks uncontrollable

We can see the cops carrying the mortal remains of Baba Siddiqui. He was draped in the Indian tricolour. There was the gun salute, which is given to few celebs like Sridevi and Ratan Tata. The Siddiqui family looks distraught. The politician was a thrice elected MLA. 

State honours for Baba Siddiqui

The Namaz-E-Janaza happened at his home in Bandra. Sana Khan, Maniesh Paul, Shehnaaz Gill, Mannara Chopra, The Khan family, Zaheer Iqbal, Veer and Shikhar Pahariya, MC Stan were seen. The most moving image was that of Salman Khan. The superstar had bloodshot eyes that seemed swollen. It seems he is totally devastated. 

The final journey

Baba Siddiqui was a part of the Indian National Congress for a long time. He joined the NCP faction before the Lok Sabha elections. Ajit Pawar was present too along with Supriya Sule. A number of politicians like Amin Patel, Ashish Shelar, Eknath Shinde, Kripashankar Singh and others came to see the body at the hospital. 

Son Zeeshan in tears

Zeeshan Siddiqui is also a politician. They are known for their Iftaar parties attended by the who’s who of Bollywood and the TV world. He made SRK and Salman Khan bury the hatchet years back in 2013. Their hug at the event is a part of Bollywood history.
