Archana Puran Singh on being memed again after Navjyot Singh Sidhu lost the election

It seems that actor Archana Puran Singh and politician Navjyot Singh Sidhu are indeed connected in ways no one can fathom. Owing to the fact that Singh replaced Singh Sidhu on The Kapil Sharma Show a couple of years ago, any update that happens in Singh Sidhu's life leads to Singh coming in the news.

A similar thing happened recently where after Thursday, Singh Sidhu lost in the Punjab Assembly elections and surprisingly, Archana Puran Singh started trending on social media. There were innumerable memes doing the rounds suggesting that Sidhu might return to claim his spot in The Kapil Sharma's Show.

She went on to talk about these with ETimes TV as she said, "I am not affected by these memes because it is not something new. What I am surprised about is how a person who has quit and joined politics, is still being connected with what I'm doing on the show. I have never been involved in politics. I have a particular role in the show, which I am doing diligently, but somehow when there is something new happening to Sidhu, memes are made on me. Isn't that strange?"

Singh added, "People should understand that nothing is permanent in life. The chair that I occupy in Kapil's show is not a permanent chair and I will not play the judge forever in my life. But people on social media are behaving as if I only have this job and no other work in life. If ever Sidhu decides to come back or the channel or producer of the show wants Sidhu back, I am always willing to move on and find some other project. I have said this many times before and this joke has been cracked so often on the show."

It does seem it is indeed time to move on from it, isn't it?
