Kapil Sharma recalls his bank balance hitting zero due to THIS reason

In an episode of the Feel It In Your Soul podcast, Kapil Sharma opened up about his journey from struggling in Mumbai to becoming a global star. He shared that he arrived in Mumbai with just Rs 1200 and faced times when he could barely afford a single meal each day.

During the podcast, the Crew actor also discussed how his bank balance reached zero after he decided to produce two films. He talked about the financial loss and the tough phase that followed, which eventually led him into depression. Kapil shared, "Mera dimaag kharab hogaya. Maine do filmein bana diya (I lost my mind and I created two films)."

Talking in Punjabi, he added, "Actually, what happened was that I had a lot of money, and I thought one becomes a producer with money. But one never becomes a producer with just money. Producers have a different thinking. There's a different training to become a producer. I wasted a lot of money, and my bank balance went down to zero."

Kapil Sharma shared how his wife, Ginni Chatrath, played a crucial role in helping him through a tough period in his life. He explained that, in addition to the financial losses from producing films, various other factors contributed to his depression.

Despite the challenges he faced during that time, Kapil believes that those experiences were essential for his growth. He feels that if he hadn't gone through that phase, he wouldn't be able to appreciate his current success.
