Annu Kapoor reminisces about Priyanka Chopra's hesitation to kiss him while filming 7 Khoon Maaf

Annu Kapoor recently shared his thoughts on working with Priyanka Chopra in 7 Khoon Maaf. In 2011, there were rumors that the actress declined to kiss him during the shoot. Looking back on the situation, Kapoor suggested that she probably wouldn't have had any issues if he had been the leading man, noting that his looks and absence of the typical 'hero' image might have contributed to the awkwardness.

In a recent interview with ANI, Annu Kapoor reminisced about an event from the shoot of 7 Khoon Maaf. His role as Inspector Keemat Lal included a close scene with Priyanka Chopra. When Vishal Bhardwaj pointed out that Priyanka was uncomfortable with it, Kapoor proposed that they should remove the scene.

Nonetheless, Vishal Bhardwaj was adamant that the scene should be filmed, so Kapoor went ahead and completed it, delivering a solo shot that received acclaim from the crew. Despite this, rumors swiftly circulated that Priyanka had declined to kiss him. Reflecting on the matter, Annu remarked that if he had been the lead actor, it probably wouldn't have been a problem.

He said, “The simple thing is, if I were a hero, Priyanka Chopra wouldn't have had any problem. She doesn't have any problem kissing a hero. Then there is me. I don't have a face. I don't have a personality. That's why there's a problem."
