'An English film and MBA studies kept me busy' - Amit Khanna

Remember Ram of Karam Apna Apna? Amit Khanna, who played the role of Ram, has been out of the radar for some time now. It seems the handsome hero with intense eyes, was not in any self-imposed exile. He was busy finishing an English film - The Indian Ring and his studies. An Indo-German project, the film directed by Peter Fenman has been extensively shot in Udaipur, and stars Uttara Baunkar and Mohan Bhandari. The film is all set for a mega release in Germany.

Quite a quantum jump for Khanna who has been known for his braun. The actor whose role in the serial Yeh Dil Chahe More was immensely popular, was busy with his studies as well.

"Apart from being busy shooting for 'The Indian Ring', I was also pursuing my MBA in Marketing. And honing my skills in martial arts and dancing." But why an MBA suddenly? Khanna smiles and says that he always wanted to pursue a Masters degree, and it is like his dream come true. Does that mean he will move into the corporate world from Bollywood? "Definitely not. Apart from The Indian Ring, my character in Karam Apna Apna is also making a comeback within a couple of months. The character of Ram was extremely popular, and I am glad that he will be back on screen once again! I really look forward to be back on the sets of Karam... again", says Khanna.

Ask Khanna about his personal life, and all you will get is a killer smile in return. What about Chandana Sharma with whom he was linked while they were acting together in Yeh Dil Chahe More? "Let me set records straight once and for all. Chandana is seeing someone for the last four years. And that is not me! We are very good friends and that's all to it. As happens with all popular on-screen pairs, even in our case, the papers started linking the two of us! But you can ask her as well, there is nothing more than friendship in our relation."
