'Ammavin Kaipesi' message: Do not dump your ageing moms
Chennai, Oct 5 (IANS) Southern filmmaker Thangar Bachan, known for his artistic and emotional Tamil films such as "Azhagi" and "Thendral", says his upcoming movie "Ammavin Kaipesi" will shake up those who've disowned their mothers.

Chennai, Oct 5 (IANS) Southern filmmaker Thangar Bachan, known for his artistic and emotional Tamil films such as "Azhagi" and "Thendral", says his upcoming movie "Ammavin Kaipesi" will shake up those who've disowned their mothers.
"My film is about a mother, who is abandoned by her son. Those, who have done something similar in their lives, will regret their action if they will watch the movie," Bachan told IANS.
The emotional drama featuresa Shanthnu Bhagyaraj, Iniya, Revathy, Thangar Bachan and Meenal in pivotal roles.
Talking about Shanthnu, he said that the had not seen any of his films. "A close friend showed me some scenes from one of his films and I knew immediately he had it in him to play the character in my film," he added.
The 50-year-old cinematographer-turned-director is known for his offbeat and strikingly unique films. One of his critically acclaimed films is "Azhagi" with Nandita Das.
Rohit Kulkarni has composed the music for the film which is slated to release Oct 19.
