In his recent chat on Rhea Chakraborty's podcast, Chapter 2, Aamir delved into his past, expressing regret for not being present for Ira, Junaid, and Azad. He mentioned staying connected with his directors but missing out on his kids' struggles.

Aamir mentioned that Ira is doing well after facing depression but she "needed" him during that time. Reflecting on his son Junaid, who starred in Maharaj this year, the Laal Singh Chaddha star revealed he has been absent from Junaid's life. Junaid is embarking on a significant phase in his career, and Aamir feels the urge to support him, as shared by the Laapataa Ladies producer.
The 59-year-old actor also discussed his youngest son, who is 9 years old, mentioning that he will be a teenager soon. Aamir expressed his concern, stating that Azad's childhood won't return.
Aamir Khan emphasized his deep love for his family during his busy work schedule. "My focus was always on winning over the audience. I had no idea about their feelings or needs when they were young," he expressed. Aamir emotionally admitted, "I knew everything about my team and directors but was unaware of my own children’s challenges"
During the same interview, Aamir Khan disclosed that he had contemplated leaving Bollywood. However, it was his children, Ira and Junaid, who convinced him not to give up on films, labeling it a "big mistake"
Aamir Khan is set to appear in R S Prasanna's next film, Sitaare Zameen Par, alongside Genelia D'Souza and Darsheel Safary.
