Kajol, Nysa, Yug take part in Durga Puja's Shashti rituals; actress gets a kiss from her young prince - Watch

Kajol, Nysa and Yug were seen at the Maha Shashti Puja held at their family Durga Puja pandal in Santa Cruz, Mumbai. Kajol wore a deep red saree with a golden border. The look was perfect for the starting day of Durga Puja. Her daughter Nysa Devgn chose a lemon yellow sharara set while Yug was in a teal blue kurta with white pants. The trio sat down in front of the Goddess as the priest chanted the mantras. Today, it is Maha Shashti, the day when the Goddess descends on earth. In the evening, priests will do the Pranpratishtha of Maa Durga.

Yug gives a kiss to his mom Kajol

In a very cute video, we can see Yug giving a kiss to his mommy Kajol as they listen to the prayers. The young one takes out some moments to even rest on his mother’s lap. As we know, Durga Puja prayers can be very long. In another video, he holds his sister Nysa’s hand. Netizens praised Kajol on how she is imparting spiritual and cultural values to her children at a time when society is becoming more and more Westernized.

Yesterday, Kajol, Rani Mukerji and Ayan Mukerji were there at the pandal. Kajol wore a dull gold saree with a blood red blouse while Rani Mukerji was in a white and red more traditional Bengali look. The cousins became emotional remembering late Deb Mukerji. The Puja has been their family tradition since years. It is one of the most beautiful pandals in Mumbai city.

Kajol has been quite active throughout 2025. Her movie Maa did decent business in India. Based on the legend of Goddess Kali and her battle with the demon Raktabeej, it was a mytho-horror set in West Bengal.
