Alia Bhatt admits that even the most effective PR strategies can't save a badly made film

Alia Bhatt is regarded as one of the top actors in the industry, known for her impressive performances in numerous hit films. She is currently looking forward to the release of her upcoming movie, Jigra. While many feel that effective promotions can greatly influence a film's success, Alia has a different perspective. She recently stated that no amount of public relations can rescue a poorly made film, and conversely, if a movie does well, it shouldn't be solely attributed to its promotional efforts.

During promotions, she recently talked about promotional looks and said, "You can’t save a bad film with PR; you can’t save a film that hasn’t worked with PR. So, if it works, you can’t say it’s because of PR. That’s the key difference—draw the line and try to understand."

She also discussed the challenges of being in the spotlight and the issue of being dishonest about oneself. The Alpha actress mentioned that it's not inherently wrong to emphasize certain aspects of one's life or work in the media industry. However, she emphasized that it turns toxic and harmful when someone begins to fabricate those truths.

Alia stressed the importance of individuals stepping back and reminding others not to spread falsehoods. She also pointed out that repeating a lie multiple times won’t change it into the truth, as a lie will always remain just that—a lie.

Meanwhile, Jigra is set to release in theaters on October 11, 2024. The film features Vedang Raina and Manoj Pahwa in key roles. In addition to this, she is currently filming Shiv Rawail's YRF spy movie Alpha alongside Sharvari Wagh. The pair recently completed their schedule in Kashmir and shared a wrap-up post.

Alia is also part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love and War, featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. According to reports, the shooting for the period drama will kick off with the male leads in October 2024, while Bhatt is expected to join in December 2024.
