Akshay Oberoi on the pap culture: "I realize now that it's my own insecurity not the media's fault"

Actor Akshay Oberoi is currently making waves in the entertainment industry with his projects. The actor was last seen in the film 'Fighter' alongside Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and others. After that, he also appeared strikingly in the show 'The Broken News S2' with Sonali Bendre, Jaideep Ahalwat and Shriya Pilgaonkar. Recently while promoting the show the actor engaged in a candid conversation with India Forums and talked about his role in the show, media as a 4th pillar in the democracy and various other things. 

Talking about the role of media in our country he said, "I heard Sonali Maam talking earlier about how her relationship with the press has changed over time, and I can relate to that. At times, I might have perceived the media as a trend, but I realize now that it's my own insecurity, not the media's fault."

He added, "The media has numerous responsibilities, and everyone needs to do what they can to survive. So, it's about adjusting our own approach to the media. It's a symbiotic relationship – we need each other. I also believe it's crucial; you can't argue that this pillar should not exist."

Akshay Oberoi will next be seen in the Dharma Production film 'Sunny Sanskari ki Tulsi Kumari' which is being helmed by Shashank Khaitan and stars Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan in pivotal roles.
