Ajay Devgn to direct Akshay Kumar in his next movie; fans say, 'UNEXPECTED'

Fans loved seeing Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn together in Singham Again. Now, Ajay Devgn has said that he will direct a movie that has Akshay Kumar in the lead. The two made the crowd whistle in the Rohit Shetty film, and this is surely big and completely out of the box. Ajay Devgn has directed movies in the past like Runway 34, Shivaay and Bholaa. His last directorial Bholaa was a remake of Kaithi. Even Akshay Kumar was present with him at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit 2024. India’s PM Narendra Modi too graced the event. Ajay Devgn said everything is at a scripting stage right now. 

He was quoted as saying, “This is something we were going to announce later but I think this is a great platform. We are already working on something together where I am directing the film and he is in the film.” When he was asked to reveal more, he jokingly teased that he might just send the script to the editor of the paper. This will be the first time, Ajay Devgn will direct another superstar. When he was questioned about the huge fees of stars that increase cost of a film manifold, Devgn said, “The actors charge according to scripts, films, and projects. And most of us are charging according to recoveries.” 

Akshay Kumar has a very good line-up of movies. From Sky Force in early 2025 from Maddock to Priyadarshan’s Bhooth Bangla, he is set to be back with a bang. He has also announced a sequel of Bhagam Bhag. Kumar too endorsed what Devgn said about Bollywood superstars and their remuneration. He said, “I agree with most of what he said. If we sign a film today, we don't charge anything; we just take a stake. If it works, we get a share in the profit, but if it doesn't, we don't get any money.”
