Aditya Pancholi charged with Rape case by Versova police station!

Recently, Bollywood actor-director Aditya Pancholi had been in a feud with an actress for allegedly raping her. Mumbai Police filed an FIR (First Information Report) against the actor based on the complaint filed at the Versova Police Station.

According to the reports from The Hindu, the actress had recorded her statement with Versova Police Station on Thursday afternoon June 27. 

Mumbai Police spokesperson DCP Manjunath Singe said, “We have registered an offense of rape, wrongful restraint, assault and criminal intimidation under the Indian Penal Code.” 

The actress has allegedly spoken of being in a relationship with Aditya Pancholi from 2005 to 2008 and has also mentioned that she was abused and exploited her. The allegations range from keeping her under house arrest to physically abusing her.

An officer with the Versova police station said, “We have recorded a detailed statement from the victim. As the offence occurred several years ago, we will have to visit the locations named by the victim and get in touch with those she has named.” He also mentioned that Mr Pancholi had not yet been summoned.

“We will decide on the further course of action once preliminary inquiries are over,” the officer said.

The reports also suggest that the actress in her complaint has also alleged that Mr Pancholi had intercourse with her against her wishes by giving her intoxicants and that he took pictures of the act without her knowledge, which he later used to blackmail her into submission and extort 50 lakh from her.

“Based on her statement, we have also added sections for causing harm by poisonous substance and extortion to the complaint,” the officer said.
