Actor ATTACKED by thugs, on the verge LOSING his eyesight!

Actor attacked by highway thugs while he was on his way to Chittor from Mount Abu.

Actor Jeetu Verma who is known for his roles in films like Son of Sardar, Tarzan the wonder car, Bol Bachchan and other films, was recently attacked by a group of highway robbers on his way from Mount Abu to Chittor.

The actor with his wife Kusum Verma, was there to attend the summer festival of Mount Abu. Everything went well at the festival and post that they left for Chittor. On the way they were brutally attacked by hooligans!

A report in a popular entertainment portal, quoted actor's wife as saying, "We had left from Abu at 9.30 pm in the night; we were on the road. At around 10.30 pm and we stopped by the Dilwara village. And suddenly our car was pelted with stones. It was after few seconds we learned that it was tribals who were bombarding us with huge stones! The stones were rolling from the cliff and the driver was unable to save us. By then a big rock broke the glass and directly hit Jeetu in the eye." (sic)

She added, "I had heard about the attacks and the tribals who are highway robbers, but to experience a life threatening event, was horrifying." (sic)

She even revealed that the local police didn't help when they approached them to file an FIR. She said, "The cops themselves were afraid to visit that zone. When we asked them to file an FIR, they laid an unusual demand; asking us to travel all the way back to the unsafe location to explain what really happened. It wasn't possible for us to travel all the way back and risk our lives again. As a result, no action was taken against the criminals. But we will file the complaint here once my husband recovers." (sic)

On 29th of March, the couple came back to Mumbai and actor was then rushed to Aditya Jyot Eye hospital where he is recovering after 10 stitches around his eyebrows! According to the doctors, the actor's retina has been damaged.

We wish the actor a speedy recovery.
