Actor Abhishek Bajaj has managed to create a good impact with his stint in the TV world having starred in multiple TV shows but he went on to make a small yet noticeable variation with important roles in films like Student of the Year 2 and the more recent one being in Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui.
The critically acclaimed film had Bajaj playing the on-screen rival to Ayushmann Khurrana for which he has been appreciated as well. Little do many know that while his body was perfectly sculpted in the film, he actually met with an accident in 2019 due to which he got 16 stitches on his hand. Interestingly, that was the time when he was offered the film. Talking about it with ETimes, Bajaj said, "I got a call on my birthday that I had been selected for Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui. My happiness knew no bounds! I still remember standing in front of the mirror and telling myself that I just have 50 days. I had 16 stitches on my hand and it was still hurting. But I was determined. I went on a no-sugar diet, increased my protein intake and a bit of carbs in order to look bigger. I did proper workouts daily in the gym and managed lo achieve what I wanted to."

The most difficult part was keeping away from sweets, he reveals. "I remember I started eating jaggery for my sweet craving. Earlier I used to have gulab jaamun, chocolates or pancakes everyday. So during this period, I started eating jaggery. My character is a cross-fit athlete, so I had to look like one."
Recalling the first day of shoot and concluding with the same, Bajaj said, “On the first day of the shoot, I was supposed to pull a jeep in which three to four people were sitting. Fortunately, I had to pull it with my chest and not my hands. So that was easier! Yes, it was painful, but at the same time, I enjoyed doing it.”
