A Large Towel for Poonam Preet

The beautiful Poonam Preet, who is currently seen playing the negative role of Bindu in Zee TV's period drama 'Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani', recently got quite nervous about enacting an upcoming sequence of the show. The scene in question was an intimate one with the male lead of the show Raja (played by Sartaj Gill). It required Bindu to come out of Raja's bathroom draped in a towel to seduce Raja. Attempting such a bold scene for the first time ever, the actress got a tad uncomfortable. The creative team of the show went out of its way to ensure that the actor was put at ease by calling for a larger towel for her and keeping only the bare minimum crew members required for the shot on the sets.

Poonam Preet shares, "I was nervous before shooting this sequence as I'd never attempted a seduction scene before. Besides, when you're wearing just a towel, you're bound to get conscious. There are a lot of people on the sets and one doesn't want a wardrobe malfunction at any cost. But my creative and production team were extremely sensitive towards my frame of mind and allowed just a bare minimum number of people on the set while this sequence was shot. Sartaj is a friend, so our equation ensured I wasn't so awkward. What helped the most was the fact that they specifically called for a larger towel to shoot the scene. I did the scene to the best of my ability as any professional actor should - One has to stand up and deliver if the script demands it."

In the upcoming episode of Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani, Bindu and Jeevan are trying to create trouble in Raja and Rani's married life. Raja goes to his room and is taken aback to see Lovey coming out from the Bathroom in a towel; Raja did not appreciate this act of hers, but before much argument could happen, lovey pulls him and they fall on the bed. Rani sees Raja and Lovey on the bed and gets shocked which leads Raani to leave.

So yeah, that's how it goes!
