2024's Box office hits till now: 'Fighter' tops the charts, 'Shaitaan' and 'Crew' among the best performers

By the middle of 2024, several movies had made significant breakthroughs at the box office worldwide, with Fighter leading the way. Viacom18 Studios and Marflix Pictures have secured a high-energy action movie ?337.20 crore, which features Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone in lead roles. Its success highlights the expanding pattern of high-end action movies attracting worldwide audiences. 

Following closely is Shaitaan, a collaboration between Panorama Studios and directed by Vikas Bahl. This thriller has accumulated ?211.06 crore. This thriller stars Ajay Devgn and R. Madhavan and delivers gripping performances that contribute to the film's strong box office performance.  

Crew, backed by Balaji Motion Pictures, Anil Kapoor Films & Communication Network, and directed by Rajesh A Krishnan, has also made a notable impact. The film stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arjun Kapoor, and its engaging storyline and charismatic performances have helped it secure a top spot in the year's highest-grossing films, with earnings of ?157.08 crore. Kareena Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Tabu were seen as the film's lead cast.  

Maddock Films and Pen Marudhar Entertainment's Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya and Munjya have been highly successful this year. Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, starring Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor, was praised for its deep feelings and unique storyline. It took home ?133.64 crore, making it the highest-grossing film of the year. Munjya, which stars Abhay Verma, Mona Singh, and Sharvari, has also received positive reviews and a loyal fan base. Its ?129.94 crore box office gain underlines Maddock Films' impressive achievement in 2024.

Article 370, featuring contributions from B62 Studios, Jio Studios, and PVR Inox Pictures, starring Yami Gautam. Based on terrorism and corruption, the film earned significant commercial success with ?110.57 crore. Lastly, Maidan Zee Studios features Ajay Devgn. Inspired by the real life of the coach and manager of the Indian national football team, Syed Abdul Rahim. The film's sports-centric narrative and inspirational themes have helped it perform well, earning ?68.09 crore.

These impressive films showcase the diverse storytelling and star power of 2024 and highlight the dynamic range of genres and performances, captivating audiences worldwide.
