Viraasat is a story of revenge, sacrifice, love, romance, family, relationship and more. The star cast of the show includes popular Television and Film personalities like Kiran Kumar, Rohit Roy, Aman Verma, Sangeeta Ghosh and Amar Upadhayay.
The story deals with the historic enmity between two families which is disturbed by two souls who are madly in love with each other. Rahul Lamba and Priyanka Kharbanda, belong to the Lamba and Kharbanda families, who have been at war for the past thirty five years; an obvious reason for their love to not be accepted by either of the two families.
The viraasat in question is that of enmity between the two heads - Raman Lamba and Kailash Kharbanda - the duo that were once in business together, but fell apart when the Lamba Empire took over and the Kharbandas were left to fend on their own. The hostilities were further fueled when Raman Lamba went ahead and married Meera - once Kailash's love interest.
And now the proud inheritors of this viraasat - Kunal Kharbanda and Rishabh Lamba - the elder sons of the rivals, foresee victory, only in the opponent's misery. Their sole motive in life is to destroy the other. In circumstances such as these, Rahul, the youngest son of Raman Lamba and Priyanka, daughter of Kailash Kharbanda, struggle for the survival of their innocent love. The two vow to dissolve this enmity with the power of their love. One passion shall eradicate the other.
Priyanka enters the Lamba family resolute to bring an end to the mindless aggression but instead ends up only as a means to unleash the Lamba fury on to the Kharbandas. The love story which sets out to embrace the rest with their passion ends up gasping for breath amidst the fanatic clash of egos in this vindictive world. Viraasat thereby becomes the journey of a displaced Priyanka - who now finds herself stranded on a No Man's Land. She has entered into a family that refuses to accept her, and the one she belonged to by blood, has rejected her. But the Viraasat that she was merely born into and had no say in determining, will now be deterred by her determination.
Rishabh Lamba, elder brother to Rahul vows not to let Rahul and Priyanka's relationship succeed. From trying not to let their wedding night become a reality to attacking Priyanka's personal integrity, Rishabh decides to go to any length.
After failing in all his attempts, he decides to attack the marriage from both sides and introduces elements of suspicion in their lives through his two agents; one being his wife Anoushka and the other Rahul's old college friend - Natasha, each planted by Rishabh to create misunderstanding between the couple.
Despite the inimitable trust that thrives in Rahul and Priyanka's relationship, the complications manage to temporarily introduce friction in their marriage. Both of them are involuntarily thrown into situations that force them to believe that their partner is cheating. But eventually, trust wins over deception, which indeed is what Rahul and Priyanka believe their viraasat rests within...
