Angoori''s Father

Manmohan Tiwari is a big miser by nature. He runs his own business of undergarments but prefers to talk of it as Garment Industry as that’s more glamorous to sound. He is typical male chauvinist who hates the fact that his wife shares an overtly straightforward and honest relationship with his mother. He also is irritated with the fact that his wife loves his younger brother like her own son as this bond backfires on him with his younger brother standing up for his Bhabhi in any and every small matters against him. He wants his wife to be more expressive and loving towards him and this inner-most desire of him makes him a secret admirer of his neighbor’s wife Anita!

Angoori is a simple traditional housewife who loves her husband and worships him but is shy of expressing her feelings. She loves songs and poetry. Apart from this, she loves cooking as she believes in the phrase that a way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. To live up to her husband’s standards she tries to speak in English but however ends up in making a fool of herself with her half-baked English knowledge. She aspires to be like her neighbor Anita- stylish, smart and working but more than that appreciates the fact that Anita has a loving and caring husband who helps her in her household chores!

Vibhuti Narayan is an unsuccessful Insurance Agent by profession who talks, sleeps, eats and breathes “Insurance”! He is lazy but hardly has a choice when his wife dumps the house chores on him. He is an absolute ‘mamas-boy’, something that his wife resents about him. He loves writing poetry but is quite bad at it. Vibhuti desires that his wife would quit working and transform into a perfect housewife but has never mustered enough courage to communicate this to his wife and as a result admires his neighbor’s wife Angoori, who is just the kind of woman Vibhuti would want his wife Anita to be.
