Karthik Goenka ....can he be redeemed ?

Karthik Goenka after all the years he’s known naira, after all the problems they’ve had, despite having a child with her and above all else despite proclaiming to love her immensely....still fails to support her in bad times ...his family comes above his love for naira, the law, basic humanity and kindness for victims who’ve been through major trauma...what he’s doing to Trisha now..denying her justice ..is no different to what he did to naksh ...naksh who was grieving for his wife who was in a coma ...had to grieve the loss of his child as well...so karthik could give happiness to the person he loves more and considers more important ...that time it was naira. And now Trisha can be deprived of justice after almost dying and being molested ....as his cousins are more important to him..And he cares nothing about truth and justice and integrity ...so they comfortably lie to the police and naira should let go of her integrity , her morals, her sense of right vs wrong and she should break thE heart of a girl she raised from a baby like her own sister... karthik seems to make the same mistakes over and over again..Maybe that is what he is ..a flawed character and in my honest opinion ..he does not have that intense love for naira that we’ve seen in other heros and also basically that happens in real life. In real life when a man loves his wife intensely..he’ll often take her side above his family and anyone else...because that is what spouses supposed to do ...stand by each other through good times and bad times..his first loyalty should be with naira ...not his cousins...that is how marriage works.. and more especially when naira is absolutely right in this situation. But wrt itv shows...e.g. we seen in recent shows the heros who have had intense love for their heroines,.fight their families and the whole world for their love ....but we don’t see it with kartik goenka. When times are good he’s happy to romance naira...as soon as there is a issue ...that love takes a back seat. And I really can’t tolerate his anger and violence any longer as well.. tbh I think we all love mohsin far more than karthik...and that’s why we probably still have some liking for karthik.. because mohsin is a good actor...but sadly the writers have decided that he’s a typical Goenka ....he’s very much suhasinis grandson....🤦🏽‍♀️

Kartik once (early on in the Aditya track) hit him because Naira said that Aditya had touched her inappropriately. (I think it was during one of the functions in their 1st wedding). He didn't think of family or anything, he did what was right. Despite Aditya and the entire family saying that it was a misunderstanding or something.

But slowly his character has been on a downfall esp what he did to Naksh and Keerti and how (like you explained above) stole their baby and let them think he had died. Not that I look up to ITV shows for any moral lessons but it becomes really hard to sympathise or root for such characters. And Kartik being the male lead and stooping so low as supporting sexual harassers is just plain disgusting.

Tab ladki mili nahin thi na..when u don’t have something, u try everything to protect it.. and when u get it, u take it for granted..

I also think Kartik has lost all the chances and makers too.. they should just kill the main characters and end the show instead of killing the characters everyday 😔

The writers of yrkkh presently are quite bad in my opinion...we saw all the loop holes and mishaps they created in the vedika track.... and I feel they have not written karthik realistically. They say he loves naira madly,..he was like a depressed lost soul in that room ,.doing crazy stuff like making lines for every single day since she left him..yet when they are together happy....as soon as there is a family issue ..he doesn’t take her side, real men don’t usually do this..they support their wives especially if they have a happy marriage

kArthik is a disappointment..or rather the writers are majorly disappointing us by writing him like they do.. I look at Harman from Shakti astitva..he used to go against his family all the time for soumya ...even though she was a kinner and they couldn’t even have a physical marital relationship...he loved her so much... and used to fight with the whole world for her...same with neil from Naamkaran...he fought everyone for avni..his family..her family...the police ..the criminals ..etc. I’m just so disappointed with the way they’ve written karthik. Anyway according to the latest segments looks like naira and karthik are together,..so maybe we will finally get some redemption from him..and he will finally understand that his wife comes first ..not his step mother or hooligan cousins..

yes I saw the segment ...jannatsara posted it on another topic..I hope we finally see a mature karthik who realizes that naira will always support the truth and he appreciates her for this and takes her side this time,..and forever afterwards as well...🙏...that’s why I said ...can karthik be redeemed...maybe and hopefully they will finally redeem him in this track and he’ll become a better human being and a deserving husband for naira,.😀

I don't feel he can be redeemed. I feel bad that he is setting a bad example for Vansh and Kairav. Those young boys really need to get out of the unhealthy environment in the Goenka home. To see clips of Vansh and Kairav dancing with Luv/Kush when they get out of jail is disheartening.

One of the segments said that seeing the Goenka's attitude towards Luv and Kush, Kartik & Naira will decide to move out of Goenka Villa. I am not sure if that's gonna happen but Naira did suggest keeping Kairav away from Luv Kush in the previous episodes. Kartik did not support her then because he thought she was overreacting but fully understanding the facts now, he may be on board with Naira's previous idea and both may want to distance Kairav from Luv & Kush.

I truly hope that happens because its actually infuriating to watch how LuKu are celebrating and don't have an ounce of guilt.

Vansh needs to be kept away from Luv/Kush too. I would prefer that Kairav/Vansh stay at the Singhania home instead of with the Goenka's.
