Hina Khan was born in Srinagar (Kashmir) and later moved to New Delhi for her education, where she studied Management in Gurgaon.She was more interested in co-curricular activities like Singing and Painting.She had also given an audition for the 3rd season of Indian Idol and had been selected among the Top 60 contestants from the whole country.Her ambition was to become an Airhostess and she had been selected for the 2 months training in mumbai but could not go because she suffered from malaria.Then one day with her friends she went for timepass for the auditions of the show "yeh rishta kya kehlata hai".She did not take very seriously, but destiny had planned something special for her..The very next day she got a call from the producer of Directors' Kut Production, Mr.Rajan Shahi, informing her that she has been selected as the main lead!Initially, her mom was against it, she being from a conservative family, but with her dad's support she grabbed this golden opportunity.She took the next flight to Mumbai, gave her screen-test and signed the contract for YRKKH!She gave her exams for the Final year of BBA and cleared them with distinction inspite of being busy with shooting!A girl who was completely raw and didn't know the ABC of this glamorous field, not only picked up the tricks of the trade quickly but has also put in a huge amount of hardwork.Now she has become one of the most famous actresses in Indian Television Industry and has received many awards for her great performance.She has given a Big Contribution in bringing the show is at 1st position on Star Plus in not even one month after it's launch!
