it is very important for muslims as it is one of the 5 pillars of islam..... there are many muslim who dont follow it and it is their personal choice...... we dont know what will happen on the day of judgment.... but as a muslim i beleive that i will have to answer Allah for everything.... for every namaz that i missed in my life, every roza i miss, along with my actions and thoughts...... ultimately everything is between you and Allah.

Month of ramadan is a month of self purification.... you restrain yourself from necessities of life like food and water, concentrate on Allah and try pray more often then what you usually do. you ask Allah for forgiveness for your sins and seek guidance while praying. Fasting allows a person to be more patient, humble, and spiritual. when a person is able to restrain from the permissible enjoyment in the month of Ramadan then he will find it easier to restrain from forbidden pleasures when the month is over. so basically you fast during month of ramadan in hope to become a better person... (and it is my POV, other just do it because it is required, and some do it for other reason, and there are others who dont believe that they will gain any benefit out of it so they dont follow) but the bottom line is that fasting during Ramadan is intended for self purification and improvement.

anyways yah its disappointing she didnt fast but i hope in the future she makes it up... i agree work is not a valid reason but its her life.. some muslims are not that strict.. i come from a family where i was taught u have to unless u have a medical issue... u throw up.. or bleed...but its hina's life and she an pursue it however she wants!

lolzzz.. are wht will mods do?? They have to ban u cos u r using abusing lang .. Y will they lock this thread cos I don't think there is anything wrong in this thread ..

Allah is not at the top of anyone .. Ur self respect, ur honesty comes first .. If a thief says allah is on my top so wht u will say??? allah is with only those who work and no with those who abuse a girl for not having a small thing called fast ..

And keeping fast for one month won't make u any pure or anything like tht ... It is just a ritual which some ppl follow cos they have ample of money and time .. No everyone is so lucky .. ppl have to work and tht is more imp for them than this fast ...

If u can become pure by fasting then y the hell u eat food.. keep the fast for whole 12 months.. It won't make u any pure or anything like tht .. but it will solve so much of food prob and u surely will have lots of diseases cos of lack of nutrition .. lolzz

This is the kind of behaving I am talking abt .. y the hell is it disappointing for u??? who r u to be disappointed if she hasn't kept the fast .. I just can't understand ..
By showing ur disappointment u r implying tht she has done some sin etc ... and tht is the thing I am protesting.. she hasn't done anything wrong and in fact ppl should skip the fast if it hinder their work ..

who am i to be disappointed? um a muslim! it disappoints me that other muslims do not follow the five pillars.. i mean my uncle is a doctor but he fasts at the same time i know a family friend who is a family doctor but doesnt.. his excuse: same as hina's.. its disappointing.. i mean i guess i'm more of the stricter muslims than others. i mean its just like in other religions.. hinduism(my friend isnt but her mom is:stricter) and christianity (my friend isnt but her grandmother is) its the way we were raised.. AND I HAVE TOTAL RIGHT TO BE DISAPPOINTED!!! and no offense but its ur problem if u think that i am implying that seh did a sin because i said that i was disappointed! o and i didnt know her last name was khan.. i try not to but in celebrities life(i only know the actors that i reaaallllyy like and hina is not one of them)
