good question! i think DJ knows the pain of being side lined and forgotten by his loved ones better than anyone else. Remember he said to Gargi once "kuch bhi hojaye mom, hai toh woh mere hi dadababu na"? He loved DB even after his biasedness towards Yuvika until DB completely sidelined DJ and started doing Vika - jaap. So, who can understand the pain of being 'forgotten' better than anyone who has gone through the same?

Also dj is quite passionately protective for the people he love. Unfortunately, this show has never explored his this side. In fact, I would say he has higher emotional quotient and more emotionally intelligent than yuvika but off course he is a villain so use that trait to his advantage.

And i always felt that dj never hated neil and infact liked and admired him secretly. That's why he never targetted neil directly until the last moment considering neil was the strongest support system of yuvika. That's one of the reason I wanted neijay to see. But is ph se kuch expect karna deewaro se sar phodne ke barabar hai.
